[REPLAY] ADC Live! Presents: LumApps Agents, Agents Space & MCP

Misha Zubarev

Watch the replay of our hands-on tour of the LumApps Agents Hub, where we show you how to build, govern, and connect your own AI agents, from external agent-to-agent integrations to the LumApps MCP in Claude and ChatGPT. It also includes a time-saving styling pro tip and the highlights of LumApps’ biggest release yet.

The replay of our October ADC Live! episode is now available, and it may be our most packed session yet. We took a hands-on tour of the LumApps Agents Hub, showed how LumApps connects to external agents and AI assistants through MCP, and walked through the October release note.

We'll say it plainly: we were impressed. In nearly a decade of reading LumApps release notes, this is one of the deepest we have seen. It marks the moment LumApps stops being just a digital workplace and becomes a single entry point to your physical workplace, your digital workplace, and your AI agents.

Here's what we covered, and why it matters for your LumApps platform.

Pro tip: clone a platform style in seconds

If you manage several sites that share one brand, platform styles are the way to keep them consistent. But what if five of your six sites need a small variation, like a different secondary color? Out of the box, that means rebuilding a style by hand: custom code, slideshow headers, palettes, headers and footers. Done carefully, that can take hours.

The LumApps APIs can copy a platform style, but they can't rename the copy. So we built a Platform Style Manager into the ADC Toolbox. Search for any platform style, duplicate it under a new name, then adjust the palette in LumApps. In the episode, we cloned our own brand style and recolored it live in under a minute.

The October release: physical meets digital

The October release note is huge, with updates across search, CMS and more. For us, its biggest story is the first wave of what LumApps announced at its Bright events this spring: the convergence of the physical and digital workplace.

  • Venue access. The new Workplace Experience bundle lets you manage access to your offices and venues directly in LumApps. No separate platform to build, and no extra maintenance for IT.

  • Digital signage. Push messages to frontline employees on screens across your venues, managed from the same platform.

  • One solution, one license. Capabilities that companies often buy separately or build in-house now come with LumApps.

We were also proud to see LumApps feature our own Text-to-Speech Page Reader in the release. Its latest update adds phonetic pronunciation, so names and initiatives are never mispronounced; playback speed control, like voice notes in WhatsApp; and custom widget selection, giving page admins more control and readers a better experience.

You can find the full release notes in the Product section of the LumApps Hive. We'll dig into more of them in upcoming episodes.

Inside the LumApps Agents Hub

We're excited to share that ADC has earned the level-two LumApps Agents Hub certification, the highest of the two partner levels. Level one covers where AI lives across LumApps and how agents are configured. Level two covers building your own agents, grounding them in your workplace knowledge, and connecting LumApps to agents that already exist elsewhere.

In the episode, we walked through a live job-openings agent we built, from the employee's view to the admin's:

  • Agents library. A new icon in the top bar takes any employee to a library of the agents available to them. The feature is in beta and expected to roll out to everyone in the coming weeks; ask LumApps to enable it for you.

  • Chat bubble and Ask AI. Employees can start a conversation from the chat bubble, with conversation starters to get going, or simply search. Ask AI answers at the top of search results and shows which agent responded.

  • Personalized answers. Agents can use the employee's profile, such as department and job title, as context. Our job-openings agent suggests roles that actually fit the person asking.

  • Global and per-agent instructions. Global instructions act as a system prompt for every agent. Each agent adds its own instructions, tone, specialization and conversation starters on top.

  • Knowledge sources. Ground agents in your own content, filtered by site, content type and metadata, or draw from communities, directories, the media library and users.

  • Audience. Decide exactly who can reach each agent, from the whole company to a small group.

That last point is what makes this enterprise-grade. Many organizations are struggling to govern AI agents, and LumApps now builds that governance right into the platform.

Agent-to-agent and MCP: LumApps as your AI front door

This is the part that surprised us most. LumApps doesn't just host its own agents; it connects to the ones you already have.

  • Agent-to-agent (A2A) protocol. Connect external agents that already work across your company, through the A2A protocol or a link, then manage and govern them from LumApps. Without this, many organizations would need a separate agent governance tool such as Workato.

  • The LumApps MCP server. LumApps already exposes a large set of MCP tools, including tools to list agents. That means your LumApps agents can be reached from the AI assistant your people already prefer, whether that's Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot.

LumApps' documentation focuses on Copilot and similar enterprise tools, but the same setup carries over to other assistants, and it's straightforward. The result is one platform that serves as the entry point to your physical workplace, your digital workplace, and all of your AI agents and tools. That's real bang for your buck.

Where we can help

Creating agents in LumApps is easy enough that your team can start on its own. Where we can make the biggest difference is in the advanced work: bring your own LLM, bring your own components, and connecting your existing corporate tools and agents to LumApps. If that's on your roadmap, let's talk.

Coming up next: LumApps Play

Next month, we're turning to LumApps Play, LumApps' enterprise-grade video solution. Better still, we won't be the only ones talking. A longtime LumApps customer from The Glass Guru will join us to share how they've used LumApps Play in their workplace for over a year. If you already have LumApps Play or are considering it as a new or replacement video platform, you won't want to miss it.
